How to use a Marker Float:

Marker floats come in various shapes and sizes. Single and combo packs. I would recommend getting a Combo pack as it should come with interchangeable flights in different colours. The water surface colour changes depending where the sun is in the sky. Having a Choice between the colour Flights will give you an advantage. Often I have used a Day glow Green Flight and the sun is shining at such a angle that the green disappears in the glair off the water. Having the option to change to a Darker colour like Orange or red is a Plus.

A marker float has three over all purposes.

  1. To check what the Bottom of the lake or dam in terms of muddy, sandy ,clay or hard ground.
  2. To check the depth of the water.
  3. To be used as a marker on the surface to aim for when creating the feeding area.

Now for it to work you need to know how to tie this to your line. In the Picture you will note the Marker Float, Different colour flights, Shock rubber and Lead/sinker. Take your line and slide the sinker onto it, followed by the tail / shock rubber and then tie your flight to the line.
